Masami cattle have "never ever" received any added hormones during their life and meet or exceed all USDA guidelines for natural beef. Masami cattle have a true bloodline from Japanese Wagyu cattle. They have been domestically cross-bred with the Angus breed to bring out the best attributes of both breeds.
Originally started to feed a discerning group of Japanese clients, changes to the Japanese Federal laws prohibited them to sell product overseas. Therefore, Masami Beef had to look domestically to find outlets for its product line. The Massimoto Family still owns 100% of the farms and production facilities to ensure the program continues to source and produce the highest quality of Wagyu beef. Since its inception, the Masami program has continued to grow, and still only allows three Premium quality distributors to sell Masami Beef across the United States.
